Senior Vice President, Global Chief Procurement Officer
Tony currently serves as the Senior Vice President & Global Chief Procurement Officer of Cigna. Since joining Cigna in 2010, Tony has led Global Procurement & Third Party Management (GP&TPM), and his approach to developing and nurturing executive relationships across Cigna's global C-suite has resulted in the organization’s journey to becoming a collaborative, world-class procurement and third party relationship management organization. Under Tony’s leadership, GP&TPM manages Cigna's approximately 6,800 suppliers and $5.2 billion in annual spend across 31 countries.
Tony began his career at General Electric (GE), graduating from their Financial Management Program, and went on to hold various finance and procurement leadership roles within the services industry at Fidelity Investments, AIG, The Hartford Insurance Company, United Healthcare, and Travelers Insurance. Since 2012, Tony has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the North Central Connecticut & Western Massachusetts chapter of JDRF and in 2022 was the recipient of the Star of Hope award. He has served on many non – profit boards over the course of his career and is an active fundraiser for Back on My Feet, March of Dimes and Achilles. Tony maintains affiliations with procurement industry associations including Procurement Leaders, Procurement 50, and most recently was named to the national Board of Sourcing Industry Group.
Tony earned his Bachelor’s degree from Bentley University, and his Master of Business Administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
